Me Talk Pretty One Day

I just finished this book by David Sedaris, who I have heard so many great things about. Turns out, they’re all true! I truly loved this book. It was sort of nice to have a break from conventional writing, as this book was neither sequential nor PC. It was, however, hilarious. He definitely has a way with words and although parts of his life story are sad, he shines a humorous light on just about everything. Looking forward to reading another of his books!

Happy Reading!

50 shades

This book got me going but not in the sultry way I thought it would. The grammar is awful! Also, the sex gets to be toooo much. Shocking for me to say since I’m a sex kitten hehe! I keep reading to find out what’s going to happen…why I do not know :(. I should have read the first before purchasing this god awful series.

Ten Thousand Saints by Eleanor Henderson

I just finished this. A story about 80s punk rock including teen pregnancy, massive amounts of drugs, death, abortion, adoption, alcohol fetal syndrome, first loves, music and touring, AIDS, NYC, and every other stereotypical thing you can think of. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Book Notes

This woman draws books on shelves and makes notecards. I found some here in Asheville, NC (one of my new favorite cities) and after reading some of her blog found that they are now selling these gems at one of my favorite stores, Anthropologie. Yeehaw!

Here We Go
